DAY 5: THE ENDLESS WHITE. This gives a sense of my view all day everyday with the sun never setting. Today I made my furthest progress of the journey! The theme of my day was memories. Staring into the white all day long with nothing to interrupt my thoughts, floods of memories came back to me. But not in a typical way, more like a lucid dream where I am viscerally connected to the memory in all its vivid detail. I often think we forget the mundane and routine memories as our brain skips over them in the day to day. Let me assure you that it’s not true; it’s all in there. Big shoutout to my sister Caitlin. I love you. I miss you. Caitlin drove me to school everyday in her Mazda 626. We took that 20 minute drive hundreds of times together, but it’s not something I often think about. Today I relived those drives, our chit chat, our silence, but most of all our 5 CD’s that we played in heavy rotation. So many car sing alongs to Belle and Sebastian, and Counting Crows “August and Everything After.” That album is still a gem 25 years later. For the 15,000 school kids following along this project, a CD is a shiny round disk that had 15 songs on it...magic at the turn on the millennium 😉!#TheImpossibleFirst #BePossible @colinobrady colinobrady Colin O'Brady

Sometimes I fear the ONLY time I reflect deeply is when traveling. Maybe it’s time for all of us to buy a sled and drag it to work every day.

Love this story - we all live our siblings but barely give them the credit of being such a huge part of our lives 👏🏻💖

Just started following you after reading The NY Times story this Sunday morning while sitting on my cozy couch, CD playing and a hot cup of coffee in hand. I think my relative comfort just makes you endeavor that much more remarkable to me. Best of luck to you. God speed.

That's a #Hilleberg Keron? Would be great if you could share some insights for choosing your tent. I'm in the process of choosing one myself for a possible upcoming solo Denali climb and am stuck in little details 🤔

August and everything after! First CD I ever owned. Surreal to think of that being played in the background of this crazy landscape.
